Lots of hours at first. I worked 40-hour weeks for the first 4 weeks, and then received cut hours with permanent staff. Near the end of the term, I was scheduled 4 hours a week.
No training. High expectations that aren’t verbalized by management. Poor scheduling. Terrible communication between corporate to management to staff. Mean and degrading coworkers. I overheard several conversations in the break room about how terrible the seasonal people were and how they hated that we were stealing their hours during the holidays. Managers don’t stick up for you in the face of conflict with members. Terrible at enforcing the mask policy for employees; some of the management team wore sheer masks or plastic guards that didn’t even cover their mouths.
Stick up for your employees. Wear a freaking, actual mask and don’t lie about employee exposure to COVID-19. Spend time training so you don’t have to spend time fixing beginner mistakes. Set growth expectations.
The interview process includes typical retail experience questions and scenario-based questions and answers. It is dependent on the warehouse, but it typically involves the candidate and the department manager. Overall, a fairly simple process.
Easy. Straightforward. Just like any other company. Asked a few questions about your job history and how you work with others. Then told me I should hear back in a couple days.
It was relatively easy. I just asked basic questions about experience. Most of the harder questions came from asking about customer service. Just remember they aren't customers, but members. They offer little training, so once you start, you're kin
