Nice people, great medical benefits. Remote work outside of Washington is very difficult

Pros

Costco treats its employees and customers very well. This is ingrained in their culture and actively practiced by all managers.

Medical benefits are outstanding, with a very inexpensive cost for very complete coverage.

Cons

All decisions are made at their headquarters in Issaquah (Seattle), Washington. All interesting projects are in their headquarters. They are trying remote offices, but I was often ignored and was not able to get involved in leading-edge work. If you work in a remote office, be sure your entire chain of command is there, or you could be frustrated.

Advice to Management

Leverage your talent. Actively engage employees to get their input on how they can help. Do not get involved in day-to-day firefights, which can cause you to ignore long-term growth. Do this in ALL locations, not just Issaquah.
