Pros

Stable workplace with generous benefits and scheduled raises based on hours worked.

I was never asked or expected to work overtime, but got paid 1.5x for any overtime I did end up working.

Cons

The tech stack is ancient, and leadership has no intent to modernize. The longer you spend working here, the more stale your skillset will become, and the harder it will be to find your next job outside of Costco.

Advice to Management

You cannot approach tech the same way you approach the rest of your business.

Something that works in 2006 is not viable to work with over a decade later.

I'm not saying "be cutting edge." A lot of 'cutting edge' tech ends up as more of a fad, and it would be much more The Costco Way to wait to adopt something until it has proven it has staying power, which is understandable and acceptable.

Please, though, for yourselves and your employees, update your systems.
