It is impossible to grow a career here unless you have been here from the beginning. There is a group mentality here, and change is difficult. A lot of the tech stacks are old and dictated by how things were done six years ago.
If you are in the US to hire good engineers, then treat them well; otherwise, retaining them will be difficult.
