I had a series of phone interviews (four in total, each an hour long and about a week apart) with the relevant stakeholders, based in both Los Angeles (Venice) and San Francisco.
Really enjoyed the entire process. Everybody involved was thoughtful, engaged, and fun. I got the impression that they care deeply about cultivating a positive, inclusive environment with an emphasis on personal and professional growth for both managers and their reports. We actually spent quite a bit of time discussing past experiences in the industry and our mutual desire to improve engineering culture.
Ultimately, it didn't work out for me and I did not receive an offer, but I have absolutely no regrets about having explored this opportunity. It was time well spent. If you're even a little curious about becoming a Karmanaut, I would strongly encourage you to give it a whirl.
