Engineering Manager Interview Experience - San Francisco, California

Process

A couple of phone interviews and then onsite.

Recruiter changed the position just before the onsite interview. I thought the process was like other big companies I have worked for, where they decide the position after the interview, so I went in.

I had to ask the recruiter to explain what the role was just before the onsite interview. It was clear that the interview panel was expecting a junior person to interview.

I loved the engineers there. And the fact that they have been able to grow this much this quickly means that they must have some good recruiters over there. But the process left a very bad impression, and I would not recommend any of my peers and senior tech people to apply there.
