Overall, the job is good. Decent pay and benefits. The people are also good.
This place is stuck in the past. The tech stack feels like what was originally put in place at its inception. I would definitely not call it a true tech company; more like a collection of spreadsheets and human intervention that somehow managed to make it.
Encourage people to learn and adopt new technology. When doing a workforce reduction, take that as an opportunity to get rid of under-performers (i.e., the lots of dead weight around) instead of new over-achievers (and over-performers).
Stay away from them. It's a waste of time and energy. I interviewed for an Engineering Manager position (Remote, East Coast) for the LogScale team. The recruiter call never mentioned that the first round with the Senior Engineering Manager would be
5-stage process, including a screening call, three interviews, and an extensive take-home exercise. The take-home exercise was technical but manageable. Only the final interview was hostile; earlier interviews were thorough but fair.
Good interview process. HR was very approachable, though was not able to clarify if the tech round was actually a coding round. It turned out to be a Q&A. No DSA round, just brush up on the basics and you should be good.
