Process

1st screening with recruiter. 2nd round was a technical round for 1 hour. All the interviews were very knowledgeable and soft-spoken, which made me feel comfortable. The interview was difficult; not a single straightforward question was asked. Everything was concept/conditional driven, mostly ILE concepts.

Questions

We have two modules (both SQLRPGLE) using the same activation group. The first module uses commitment control for updating the file. Before committing the changes, we call the second module. This module also updates the same file but without using commitment control. How will this behave?

We have a file in two different libraries. How will we get common records between both files? Note: You can't use SQL in CL or RPGLE.

A lot of cross-questioning on parameter passing using (*OMIT, *NOPASS).
