Process
I got a call from a recruiter around June 19th and scheduled interview rounds with multiple people in the next two weeks. We discussed experience, behavioral questions, technical questions, API development, live coding of Python and SQL in multiple rounds, and cloud architecture. I had very positive feedback.
Later, he said the final round with the hiring manager was completed on July 21st. He mentioned that the hiring manager was very happy with the overall feedback. One week later, I got an email saying that another person was selected.
I was shocked and reached out for feedback. The recruiter simply said everything was perfect, but the hiring manager thought the other candidate was a better fit.
