First call with the recruiter, followed by the technical interview.
In the technical interview, a different person showed up to conduct the interview. He was stuck on a specific technology. He was not interested in the interview as soon as I mentioned I have more experience with Cypress than Selenium. He didn't even know what the Cypress test tool was.
After that, he sent a Java code sample (recursion function) in the chat and asked me to open Notepad and share the screen. Instead of using code-sharing tools like Coderpad / HackerRank, they did this kind of thing in 2021.
The manager who was supposed to take the interview showed up 20 minutes later and again asked the same questions.
Totally a waste of time. They want to hire a person who knows only Selenium. They don't care about other skill sets that are needed for a Senior SDET.
They conducted interviews on Webex in 2021.
By the end of the interview, I decided not to move forward with this company and team.
