Pros

Can't really think of any. Won't blame the higher management at all, but the management who manage the development teams.

Cons

First of all, there is no work-life balance here, as you are forced to work on weekends or after hours. This is because the majority of the management who lead the pods are from one ethnicity, who rule the IT world. Therefore, they expect individuals to work as people are made to work in their own country. There is no option to say no to them, as they indirectly threaten you with losing your job, pointing to higher management, even though higher management might not even know about this situation. They are heartless people who never understand why there is no scrutiny and why all the control is given to the management who treat employees like slaves.

Advice to Management

Please mandate the policy to not force employees to work outside business hours, as they are not receiving any overtime for it. Also, please educate the Dev team managers to lead their teams according to the country they are working in, not the way it was handled back home.
