Contractors are treated poorly. Acquisitions are viewed as secondary citizens. There's lots of feet dragging. Most processes are top-heavy. The time to accomplish things is excessive.
Take a hard look at who your best employees are across the company, invest in them, and give them the freedom to innovate. Study after study has proven that top-down control is an archaic form of management.
