Pros

The team is supportive.

Good work-life balance during small releases.

Cons

Contractors are not being paid for extra hours, even though they promise to pay.

Poor leadership; the manager does not know what's going on in the team.

Unprofessional behavior.

Less chances of getting full-time employment from contracting, even though you perform well.

The contract is getting extended for only 3-4 months, which results in less job security.

Higher management is not keen to retain employees.

Higher expectations from a few resources only.

Advice to Management

Please evaluate the individual contributions of each resource towards the release.

Schedule one-on-one meetings with team members periodically.
