Pros: I started in the midst of COVID, working from home implementation. Even with the onboarding process being completely remote, you feel close and united to the people at Databricks. Getting to work with some of the most intelligent, worldly people in the industry has brought such fulfillment to my life and others. Not to mention our product being something that unites and helps every vertical solve the world's toughest problems.

Cons: It's consistently evolving, and the work is extremely challenging. So you need to be an individual who loves to learn and own the work.

Pros: Hard work is rewarded. Incredibly talented, caring, intelligent colleagues, many of whom will jump in to help. Everyday is a new challenge, never boring or repetitive. Fast growth, both for the company and career-wise. Get to use Databricks for free! Doesn't feel like a job most of the time despite it being challenging. If you love Analytics, Data, & AI, you'll love working at Databricks and teaching customers about Databricks and helping them solve interesting use cases every day.

Cons: Growth rate outpaces hiring, and sometimes can result in teams without direct supervisors, or employees with too large a book of business for periods of time. Travel may be a lot more than anticipated depending on the customer or role. Customers will schedule meetings at the last minute, often without checking your availability, which may be a challenge for work-life balance. Some HR practices, such as for internal transfer promotions, feel like carryovers from a small startup versus what would be expected from an organization with this many employees today.
