Process

I found the Databricks interview process to be quite outdated and unnecessarily lengthy. The multiple stages and typical, boring interview questions seemed more time-consuming than efficient, often feeling like a drawn-out ordeal.

The format could definitely be streamlined, with a more focused and concise approach that would allow candidates to demonstrate their skills without wasting so much time.

Overall, it is a below-average experience for mid/senior professionals.

Questions

Challenging project scenario:

How to demo to an audience.

Technical:

  • What is CSV?
  • What is Delta Lake?
  • What is a Lakehouse?
  • What is serverless?
  • What is a cluster?

This is terribly boring for an experienced individual.
