Pros
  • Fun, energetic, and positive work environment.
  • Flexible work/life balance (in the field, at least).
  • Good remuneration.
  • Lots of technically challenging work.
  • Leadership is transparent and open to feedback.
Cons

Constant product changes can be exhausting to keep up with and try to sell.

A very engineering-led company can cause issues sometimes. Engineering can tend to look down on the field, and as a result either don't listen to or are just dismissive of product feedback.

Advice to Management

Focus on production-readiness of key features over releasing as many features as possible. A lot of stuff feels like it gets released based on what PMs in engineering think customers want, which isn't always what customers really want. This might be based on conversations with a small number of large customers only. I think engineering is too separate from the field. Most haven't spent enough (or any) time in field roles. As a result, they don't really understand what's important to customers.
