Process
My HR interview was conducted via video call, in English, with a French individual located at Datadog's Paris office. It was not specified beforehand that the interview would be in English.
A few days (two weeks) later, I received a response indicating that my English level was insufficient.
I subsequently had other interviews in English and asked the recruiters for feedback on my English proficiency. They all replied that I was perfectly understandable and seemed very surprised by this situation.
A haughty company that doesn't even bother to assess candidates' actual skills.
