The interview process includes an initial phone screen followed by a later round of four interviews: two coding interviews, one design interview, and one behavioral interview.
The coding exercises are conducted in CoderPad, and the design interview used Excalidraw.
The phone screen involved two coding exercises. In my case, these were the coin change problem (simple approach) and a depth-first tree search.
The first coding interview required removing all files and subfolders from a specific folder in a filesystem. There were also questions about memory optimization.
The second coding interview focused on analyzing a group of strings representing logs and queries. The task was to match each query with preceding logs, comparing words in the query against words in the logs while respecting order. Search optimization questions were also included.
The design interview involved providing a solution to consume a stream of photos, utilize a pre-trained face recognition algorithm, and notify users upon a positive match.
The behavioral interview centered on a specific project. I was asked to describe the project, explain the technical challenges encountered, and detail the solutions I contributed.
What were the biggest technical challenges you faced in the most relevant project you have been a part of?
