Process
The process started with their recruiter contacting me. I then had several interviews with different engineers and managers before receiving an offer.
The recruiters prepared me thoroughly, both regarding what to expect from the process and Datadog's expectations for candidates.
The technical interviews were conducted by other engineers, including individuals from or close to the team I would be joining. Time was always reserved for my questions.
The questions were reasonable and clearly focused on understanding technical abilities, rather than just my skill at solving puzzles or LeetCode problems.
Overall, the process was very clear and informative. At its conclusion, I felt well-equipped to make a thoroughly informed decision.
The entire process took approximately 40 days from start to finish.
