Software Engineer Interview Experience - France

Positive ExperienceGot Offer

Process

The process consists of:

  • A first screening with a technical recruiter, who will then propose several job offers you could match.
  • A first live coding session with two exercises (LeetCode Easy and Medium): Coin Change and Max Sum Root to Leaf Path in a Tree.

The second stage:

  • A take-home project: a console app that parses logs and raises stats and alerts.

Then comes the last round of three interviews:

  • A second live coding session: log tag parsing (LeetCode Easy or Medium).
  • A system design interview.
  • A hiring manager interview, where you discuss a meaningful project and the manager gets to know your motivation a little better.

Then you discuss the offer, and you get to meet potential teams you could join, and you make your choice!

Overall, I had a great experience throughout the process. The technical recruiter made sure to brief me properly on the different stages and what was expected of me. And all the people I got to interview with were nice and friendly and made me feel at ease!
