I was passed around to multiple recruiters to find a matching team, as I had directly applied to a product for which I was not a good fit. This led to three rounds.
Every round involved preparation and question calls from the recruiter, along with a list of resources to study. You knew what they would ask, what they expected to see, and what to start working on (system design resources, LeetCode links).
I was especially impressed with the recruiter's reactivity. He came back to me with feedback after every call, suggesting improvements for the next and seeking out teams I would be genuinely interested in for the final round. The managers and engineers I met were interesting individuals who cared about their product, which was good advertisement on their part. It was an overall great experience, despite the three months it took, that led me to sign with them.
