My colleagues were nice people, doing the best they could under difficult circumstances.
I was the victim of an abusive manager who constantly manipulated, gaslit, and verbally abused me.
When I told him what he was doing and professionally asked him to stop constantly criticizing me in front of the team, he responded with a PIP made up of entirely false allegations. I had receipts showing they were all lies. HR did not care and sided with him.
Since then, I’ve developed severe depression, crippling anxiety, and have been unable to find decent work in this economy. I had a great career and was very successful before coming to Datadog. This company has ruined my life.
What advice could I possibly give? My manager poisoned the well by lying to his managers and got me fired. You already fired me, and he’s still there.

My life is ruined.

Great interview process. Was reached out to after a career fair and applied. Had a 1-on-1 behavioral, where the recruiter gave me specific feedback for the next round. Technical round was pretty chill, but I was nervous and got caught up on the la
