Pros

Interesting projects and teams to work on, definitely helped me technically as a software engineer. Good pay.

Cons

People were incredibly arrogant. Not many people were willing to help; they were only interested in their own agendas. There was no upward mobility for career growth. Being a manager didn’t provide any benefits besides more stress. The 401k match was poor.

Advice to Management

Less managers, too much bureaucracy, and less management of ICs. It seems very management-heavy and difficult to innovate ideas when managers force responsibilities on their ICs. I was asked to mentor junior engineers without them needing me to.
