Upper management is really stupid. They continuously revoke headcount midway through the hiring process. They can't come up with a strategy that will last more than a quarter. I'm honestly surprised they can keep the lights on, let alone run a company.
Make a plan and stick to it. Stop rewarding managers who actively sabotage their peers.
The interview process included technical design and coding sessions. Most of the interviewers were average. One interviewer was quite poor at conducting the interview, and the staff engineer leading the coding interview appeared disengaged.
