Datadog’s internship program is one of the best I’ve experienced. From day one, you’re treated like a full-time engineer, given meaningful projects, real ownership, and access to all the tools and people you need to learn and grow. The culture of collaboration and kindness really stands out; people genuinely live the company’s values. Everyone is approachable and willing to help, no matter how busy they are.
I especially appreciated how much trust the team puts in interns: it’s not just “shadowing” work. You’re solving real problems, contributing to production code, and seeing the impact of your work. The mentorship is strong, and feedback is thoughtful and supportive.
Honestly, I didn’t have any inconveniences during my internship. Things move quickly, but that’s part of what makes it exciting and dynamic.
