I had an initial call with the recruiter, and it felt pretty off. She came across as condescending and arrogant. Honestly, it felt like I was just there to help her meet a quota.
Next, I moved on to the tech take-home challenge. They explicitly said not to spend more than 3 hours on it. I finished all the requirements in under half that time, but they rejected it, saying there was missing error handling, etc. This was stuff they never mentioned in the brief and was way out of scope for what they asked.
If someone did include those extras, there's no way they stuck to the 3-hour limit. This feels like more evidence that I was just there to tick a box. The job has been re-listed now, so it might even be ghost hiring.
Just a heads-up to anyone considering applying: it might not be worth your time. Be aware.
