As an engineer (to note, CSM and other roles work very differently; my take is only for engineering as I do not know how it works everywhere else), it feels very good to work at Deel.
Can be very stressful at times, because deadlines are tight and you feel very responsible for your features. You can always count on your team in such occasions, which mitigates this by a lot.
But Deel is still a startup; we work fast, we deliver fast, and it can be very tiring. But you don't join such a company to rest and have it easy. You join Deel if you want a challenge.
Communication can sometimes be a bit complicated when a requirement goes a long way (e.g., the initial need is x, but when going through multiple teams, each adding their own requirement, it becomes messy down the line), especially since we're all remote-working. But Deel manages that way better than any other company, in my opinion.
I feel like it improved a lot over the past almost two years working at Deel, especially on communication.
Nothing to say, I'm really happy with Deel overall.
Nice conversation with the Hiring Manager, followed by a small case with a few questions towards the end. All in all, a benevolent process and a likeable first interview. Looking forward to the next step.
The interview was suitable for a senior candidate. The interviewers were kind and communicative, and they helped me to move forward when I needed assistance. The questions were not hard to answer and were related to JavaScript and TypeScript.
I interviewed with Vika. She asked if I was willing to work more than 8 hours a day and be on duty during weekends with no extra pay. I'm pretty sure that's illegal in Spain, but whatever. I told her I was willing to do so. She proceeded to send me
