The whole process took 2 days.

Received a call from HR. The requirement was for a particular project for DELL R&D.

Day 1:

• Technical rounds followed by a managerial round.

Day 2:

• A senior HR round and a compensation discussion round with recruiting HR (kind of an HR round only).

Technical 1:

• Previous project architectures.
• Design a good REST application, mainly concentrating on URL design and data transfer between caller and publisher.
• Writing a REST client and invoking the service.
• Spring framework - IOC, Spring Core, and AOP related questions.
• How the Spring framework was internally implemented.

Technical 2:

• Basic Data Structure and Algorithm questions. One of them was like how to find duplicate elements from two UNSORTED arrays with a complexity of O(n).
• ORM - Hibernate. Writing entity classes and defining relations between them.
• RESTful web services related questions.
• Which would you prefer: REST or SOAP web services, and why?
