A recruiter reached out with an interview offer for the Dell Technologies ISG 2021 Summer Internship. I completed a candidate form to send my information.
I immediately completed the form and followed up. The recruiter took a whole week plus the weekend to respond to my email and confirm the interview schedule. I was only given two days to prepare for the interview due to not knowing when it would be because of the recruiter's extremely delayed response.
I followed up with the recruiter after the interview to ask for the next steps. To no surprise, she did not respond, even after two follow-ups.
I sent thank you notes to the recruiter and interviewers. To no surprise, not one person responded.
The interviewers were two employees in tech-related management positions at Dell, working remotely from different locations. They were friendly at first, but the interview turned sour as it progressed. They kept asking me more and more difficult questions that did not match my experience at all (zero years experience), and they interrupted me each time I spoke. They also dodged every question I had about company culture, so I barely learned a thing about the company itself.
