I applied through the college's hiring website and didn't expect much of a reply. I was contacted two weeks later by a university relations representative who put me in contact with my manager.

I had a single phone interview a week later. Since this was one of the few callbacks I received, I studied up on the job description and thought of standard interview answers.

The interview was over in 15 minutes, but I kept asking questions about specifics they do at the job. This initiative apparently rubbed off pretty well because I received an offer in two days.
