I believe that Dell highly encourages employees in expanding their knowledge base and increasing technical skill sets. The teamwork of employees helps make the experience even better by creating an environment where you can learn from each other.
Outlook seems murky on what future prospects and roles of individuals in the mid-term time frame may be. It seems there is a communication barrier between upper management and the workers.
Increase communication with your respective groups, even if the outlook isn't favorable in certain areas.
