Pros

Great work-life balance and a good work culture.

Many upsides as you get to work with global teams.

Cons

Stubborn old practices.

If you stay long here, you are out of the market. Life will be good as long as you are in it and aligned with your leadership. It doesn't matter whether you strive to deliver or not; that's all secondary. No merit-based recognition unless you are tied up with remote managers (preferably non-Indians).

Advice to Management

The hiring process aligns with the manager and has never been transparent. It always goes under the table. As a senior resource on the team, you will never have a say in bringing in talent. Manager or senior leader acquaintances will become part of the team as contractors first. After a few months or years, they will be transitioned to permanent roles. Predominantly, recruitment guidelines and equal opportunity rules are all flouted.

If someone questions these activities, they will be put under scrutiny and eventually have to leave the team. It is a pattern. Some kind of lobbying happens here. Senior leaders, please have a look at it.
