Pros
  • Flex time
  • Work-from-home
  • Great work-life balance
  • Fantastic annual bonuses
  • Engineers get exposure to a breadth of product development activity, such as:
    • Project/Program Management
    • Product Marketing
    • Technical Writing
    • Social Media marketing, etc.
Cons
  • Lots of red tape and bureaucracy.
  • Management focused on Windows OS and Windows OS based products.
  • Not innovative and does not spend nearly enough in R&D.
  • Very frugal travel budgets for employees. Forget traveling to Global Dev Centers (like SDC, BDC etc); travel for even local conferences is hard to get approval for.
