Pros

Working from home was always a great benefit. Work/life balance is dependent on the employee and their management. You can work your tail off, or you can do what needs to be done. Employees need to manage their time and workload to balance their lives. Dell's medical benefits for family were superb in comparison with other companies.

Cons

Working on global projects, you can be burning the midnight oil with India or interrupting dinner with your family at 7 p.m. when talking to Malaysia or Singapore. Like anything, you take the good with the bad.

Advice to Management

Lead your teams, don't always dictate. Leadership will get the team much further as a whole. Offer incentives for the employees. There are other things besides monetary options to show your team they are valued.
