Pros

Flexible time, very good benefits.

Cons

Lack of good marketing, sales, and sometimes management, is evident. This lack of vision and direction is pawned off upon the actual workers as "dealing with ambiguity".

There is little regard by marketing and executives for being proactive in the market. Thus, decisions are made and reversed frequently, with little care about how it affects the people actually doing the work.

Advice to Management

Start being proactive and making decisions on products, and stick with them instead of trying to please each and every customer, no matter the size of the account.

Dell is not competitive in the market because the products are watered-down, overburdened with features, and too expensive based on valueless industrial design that just copies what others are doing. Quit comparing current Dell projects to competitive systems already on the market and start making products that brand themselves instead of reacting to dated systems by competitors.
