Pros

Solid pay on contract, no crazy workloads, ability to work remote (depends on your manager, though).

Cons

Married to Microsoft, all Microsoft tools. Innovation is prevented due to lack of initiative to use latest tools and try new things. The company is consolidating, with lots of remote workers. It's difficult to enforce a good software development process. The pace is slow.

Advice to Management

Allow your developers to reinvent the whole process instead of working in silos, on old apps/systems. Use the latest tools and get rid of dependency on Microsoft. Nothing is impossible.
