Pros

The salary is good, and there is flexibility to work from home depending on the area. You have a chance to work with a lot of cool technologies, and you can work with some of the smartest people in the area.

Cons

A lot of politics, especially between the managers. There are many long-time employees that become managers without any training or the necessary skills. If you end up with one of those managers, instead of a leader, you will have to deal with a lot of micromanagement, a lot of politics, and many decisions that do not make sense for the business, but the managers want things done their way.

Advice to Management

Forget about politics, and focus on what is best for the company. Look at what is happening on the market and what is happening with other companies, as the best employees are leaving. The ones that like to please the manager, besides if the decision is best for the business, are the only ones staying.
