Pros
  1. Work-life balance
  2. Good learning opportunities
  3. On-the-job training
  4. Leaves
  5. Great administration
Cons
  1. Job security: With new higher management, people are being sent to service-based companies in the name of "business decision." Seven of EMC's popular products were transitioned to HCL, along with the engineering units (250 people across the globe).

  2. Service-based approach: New norms in India mandate employees to fill in timesheets, and time is tracked closely.

  3. High politics: Directors and Senior Managers (very specifically in Pune) have a corrupt and polluted mindset. Instead of betterment of the product, they just think about themselves and their relatives and friends whom they have referred and hired just like that. You could find so many relatives of Directors and Managers on the floor. Sometimes it feels like living in a joint family. LOL

  4. Lack of future vision for their own products.

  5. Huge loan overhead on the company, resulting in aggressive layoffs and poor hikes and promotions.

Advice to Management

Please think about the product and company.

Instead of forcefully hiring your relatives and friends, hire deserving people.
