Dell encourages working from home one day a week, and I don't work more than 40 hours a week. This could be isolated to my division; I'm not sure.
Doesn't pay as well as a lot of the big software companies in Seattle.
Also, lots of bureaucracy, red tape, and layers of management.
Dell EMC is actively trying to dissolve the culture of the smaller companies it has acquired.
My team is good, but I wouldn't recommend anybody work here as a software engineer because odds are, it will be on a team which isn't as good as other companies to work at.
Also, no sexual harassment training of any kind, which is shocking.
In the grand scheme of all white-collar jobs out there, it's still great.
But in terms of West-coast software engineering, you can do better.
