- Salary is reasonable, though it still needs improvements.
- Health care and pension are included in the salary.
- Access to vendor learning material is available.
Since the acquisition by EMC, acquisitions for the storage teams have led to:
- An increase in micromanagement and administrative tasks. Rather than being left to get on with the job, you now have to account for everything you do within a day.
- Management doesn't have foresight into what's happening in the current business climate. The current strategy is an all-in-or-nothing approach.
- Management doesn't have a plan for internal promotions (note this is an ongoing issue for the last 10+ years). When asked about inter-team promotions or salary increases, the comment "business requirement" always comes up with no comment on what that business requirement is or what certifications plans are required for which grade.
- Inter-team work has become nonexistent.
- Value add in assisting in business projects has become nonexistent.
Remove the micromanagement and actually have a view on where you want to go with the business and plan it out.
Currently, there is no plan.
