Generally speaking, the people you will work with are great.
The company is very cheap when it comes to employees.
For instance, they will tell you you have 4 weeks off, but once you're in the company, 2 weeks is considered PBA, and it actually states in the HR handbook you cannot use those days for vacation. So a lot of this depends on your manager.
The healthcare cost is also expensive. Almost no one qualifies for the discount they have, so for most, it will be double what they tell you.
Bonus levels also are not 100%, so beware of calculating that into your pay.
Another example of how you will be treated is town hall meetings are always early or at lunchtime (no lunch provided) so you do not interfere with work hours. You have to remember that is the way things are managed here.
They also did not provide water; instead, you are supposed to use the vending machine. They also do not pay for accrued vacation when you leave unless required by law. They will also make you pay it back though if you use it early. Most companies pay vacation when you leave.
Upper management blindly thinks you can increase X amount year over year without increased resources or tools. It can take months to get required tools, but the schedules never get affected by this, and you are required to make up the difference.
You need to treat employees as an asset, not an expense. Moving away from hardware will not happen if you fail to keep the employees you need to hire for development and services.
Good amount of technical questions in Java. The interview started with a written test in aptitude and technical subjects, followed by two technical rounds and an HR round. The whole process was quick and completed in a day, with very friendly staff.
I applied through a consulting firm and attended the process at the Hyderabad office. It was a one-day event. The process was smooth, and the interviewer was cooperative. The focus was on basics.
The interview, which will be in English, will last 30 minutes and focus on Oracle skills. They will ask about your Oracle skills, covering a wide range of topics. They will also present the company in a positive light.
