Management can be hit and miss. Some managers have no regard for development efforts and promise too much to the business. Management typically gets all the praise when deliverables are met. The business deciding to go with the cheapest developers severely impacts maintainability in the long run. Documentation is non-existent.
Get rid of poor managers, as they are driving top talent away from an otherwise fantastic company.
