Only the Dell brand name is good.
No hikes.
Bad managers and seniors. They make you work day and night and weekends too. At last, in huddles or higher-level meetings, they don't even give credit to who actually made the product.
Too much politics. People at higher levels remain at higher levels, even growing to upper-higher levels.
This is because they silently fire or lay off people at lower levels who seem like competition to them.
I can say it's very easy for them to fire female managers. Yes, I have seen many female managers and female team members get silently fired in a day. Giving six months' compensation will not cover the amount of trauma, depression, and anxiety they give to the person who is fired without any reason. Forget about the next job, whether he or she will get one or not.
In short, I have not enjoyed being at Dell for many years. Not at all comfortable. I was waiting for the market to pick up in at least 2024.
Do not fire employees silently. Even if you want to remove the person, at least discuss among all the people who have worked with that concerned person who is about to get fired. At least discuss the points or measure the caliber or skills in comparison to the employees working at the same level. There is too much politics I have seen at higher-level management. They prefer sycophants.
I joined the company through campus recruitment. Two interviews were scheduled on the same day. One was a technical round, and the other was an HR round. The results of the interviews were announced that same evening.
1st Round: Technical * Problem-solving and frontend tech stack questions (Angular, HTML, CSS) 2nd Round: Manager * Why did you leave your previous organization? * Why are you interested in this organization? * What are your expectations? *
It was a very good interview experience. In total, there were 2-3 rounds, which included managerial and technical rounds. All rounds were well organized, and the interviewers were friendly and encouraging.
