Disclaimer: This is based on my internship experience in Summer 2015. Keep in mind, this is my first internship.
I had an amazing project and mentor that really pushed me to my wits. Others had a different experience. If you do get a cool sounding project at Dell, snag it.
The engineering intern program is very well structured. Throughout the summer, there are a number of social events, workshops, and speaker series. Near the end, there is an executive presentation where we present to some VPs.
Everyone has fairly flexible hours. If you communicate your needs and get your work done, you can come and go as you please. Interns are paid hourly, though.
Excessive overtime (i.e. sitting mindlessly at your desk for several hours) was frowned upon. However, I didn't have a problem if I provided justification for why I worked so much.
The hours you work vary on the project and the team. Most people seem to do a strict 40-hour work week. Our project was a little hectic, so we were doing 50-60 hours.
Since I was an intern, I did not have much interaction with management. Consequently, there isn't much I can really add here.
Phone screen, Hackerrank, and Final Interview. The process begins with an initial phone screening to assess basic qualifications. This is followed by a technical Hackerrank coding challenge. It concludes with a comprehensive final interview, evalu
OA + 2 rounds with one technical and one HR. The technical round was based on DSA and resume projects, with some random talks. I was selected after passing an OA with a basic DSA question. The technical round was basic DSA and information about cloud
Alright, so the questions were related to ML and the projects on my resume, mostly. Compare and contrast decision trees and random forests. When would you prefer one over the other? Discuss the advantages and disadvantages of deep learning compared
