Dell is all about driving revenues.
If you are good at functioning within a somewhat unstructured, and at times, overly bureaucratic environment, you will function well. The pay rates are good.
You have to be a performer, a value contributor to maintain your employment. Work/life balance is the best feature of working for Dell. You are your own boss to some extent.
Hit your numbers, achieve your objectives, get noticed, and you can be successful.
Old boys network among management.
Too many reorganizations that interfere with the last plans and strategies.
Change for changes' sake is perceived.
I believe it is because upper management protects each other in their roles, even when they do not succeed.
At times, I feel as though I have no control over my career.
At the higher levels of positions, there is eventually no way to advance as an "individual contributor".
Stop sitting behind the desk and looking at numbers.
Get out and participate in the customer gathering effort and the delivery efforts.
Make some investments in areas where Dell should be providing services, even if they may not bring in millions in revenue on day one.
Have a longer-range view on investments in new capabilities and services offerings to the market.
The interview process consists of two telephonic rounds and one face-to-face interview. The first two rounds are aimed at evaluating technical solutions and business management skills for overseas customers. The last round will be an HR discussion
Pretty easy 1 DSA question. That's all. LeetCode medium and very internal details about databases in general. Previous company questions and architecture details about company software. Pretty easy managerial round.
The interviewer was incredibly friendly and kind. The process was easy to set up, and she was very informed and able to answer all of my questions. I enjoyed being able to have the supportive environment.
