The interview process was not organized properly. First, they invited too many people for the face-to-face interview, despite conducting an online technical test beforehand.
Second, they allowed people with the required technical skills (Java/Dot Net) to walk in without asking them to clear the technical test. There was a lot of confusion in submitting resumes to HR.
Also, one lady was explaining Deloitte's history and work culture with videos while people were waiting for their turn. She asked for feedback on the interview process there before people had completed at least one round of the interview. This looked foolish and immature for a company with such a long history in consulting.
The person who conducted the technical interview asked me to sit at a developer's desk and started the interview there. He was waving at his colleagues while I was answering his questions and looking around. In fact, he was not even making eye contact and seemed very distracted. Perhaps he had a target to conduct as many interviews that day, I guess.
One question that comes to mind is, how do you create a JVM?
