Firstly, I am not sure how I got a call from Deloitte; it might have been from Naukri. It was a very long process in terms of per round and turnaround time from the HRs.
We were briefed by an HR about the number of openings, their expectations, and what a candidate could expect.
In total, there were 12 open positions, and close to 350 people showed up.
First round was JAM, which is 'Just A Minute.' In a forum of about 40 people, we were supposed to pick a topic of our choice and talk about it. We were screened in terms of spontaneity, accent, fluency, and minor public speaking skills.
Second round was the Versant test. It tested our listening and speaking skills for accent, fluency, and other basic English rules. We were given a sheet that had instructions for the test.
Third round was the Belit test. It tested reading, listening, and comprehending skills.
Basically, people with a cool head and good speaking skills would get through all three rounds pretty easily.
Fourth round was a technical round. It was a drill-down on the resume, and questions were asked about the depth of understanding of the project and other basic testing questions.
Fifth round was also a technical round. I was interviewed more on logical thinking, given an application. Folks who came up with out-of-the-box and more versatile scenarios were picked.
Sixth round was a managerial round. I was examined more on understanding the process of projects than on the project itself.
Out of the box questions were asked.
