Pathetic interview process!!
Was contacted by a Deloitte USI HR after profile shortlisting. Received an invite for the interview with just the start time mentioned in the invite (which clearly shows you don't value the biggest asset - TIME).
Joined the interview 10 minutes before schedule and was waiting in the lobby for 15 minutes. Called HR; she informed that the panelists were busy and would connect in 10 minutes.
Interview started after half an hour's wait in the invite lobby of a virtual meeting.
I can understand this may happen in cases where there are more candidates to be interviewed.
The next thing that happened was completely unexpected. My profile was shortlisted for Senior Data Engineer for Cloud, and a JD matching my area of expertise was shared with me prior to the interview.
But the interviewer was totally unaware of the fact that the profile was for Cloud. He even admitted that he doesn't have much experience in Cloud data warehouses and is hiring only for on-prem storage solutions.
After a useless discussion of 20 minutes and waiting for 30 minutes in the lobby, it felt like a complete waste of everyone's time. Happy NOT to be part of such an organization.
Nothing was asked.
Interviewer was googling questions on Cloud before asking to a 6-year experienced candidate. They were asking questions which even a college fresher with a basic idea of Cloud could answer.
