Awful and inhumane experience.

Speaking with the recruiter was fine. We agreed on an interview day and time. The day before the interview, my wife's grandfather was hospitalized (ended up passing away).

I told the interview coordinator at Deloitte we had an unexpected family medical emergency and I had to miss the interview. Deloitte's compassionate response was telling me how hard it is to schedule these interviews and how this put her in a bad position.

Any interest I had in Deloitte quickly went away. I interviewed with a competitor of Deloitte's and happily accepted the offer a week later.

The questions from the recruiter were mainly behavioral, salary expectations, and etc.
