Initially, I got a call from HR. She asked for my expectations in terms of CTC. I told her my expectations and asked if they could provide them. She said that they could, so I asked to process my candidature. All went well.
After all the technical rounds, I had a 1.5-hour techno-managerial round, which was a good one. I appreciated the manager who took the interview, both in terms of questions and the way the entire procedure took place.
Next came the HR round. Now the HR was offering me a salary 8 lac less than what was decided initially. I told her if the budget was so low, why my time was wasted. And so, I declined her offer.
Please make sure to negotiate the salary first, as in the end, you will feel your valuable notice time is wasted. I could have sat for a different organization's interview rather than this.
